Who we are

AugmentumLucens is an independent advisory practice based in Hong Kong. For the purposes of the Ordinance, AugmentumLucens is the data user responsible for personal data handled through this website and through correspondence with us.

What we collect

Correspondence. If you email us or connect with us on LinkedIn, we hold what you send: your name, contact details, organisation and the content of the message. When you submit the contact form, the website passes your message to our email provider so we can reply. The website does not keep a separate database of contact messages or put their contents in application logs. Limited temporary technical records are used to prevent duplicate submissions and abuse.

Server records. Our hosting provider records standard technical information when pages are served, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it only to keep the site running and secure.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Fonts are served from this domain.

While the site is being completed, the placeholder photographs are loaded from Unsplash’s image service, which receives the same technical information as any image request. Our own photographs will replace them.

Optional arcade

The hidden arcade games save your chosen initials, scores and game dates in this browser’s local storage only. It does not send scores to us, create an account, or share a leaderboard between devices. The game loads only when you open it. You can remove these records using Clear scores in the game or by clearing this website’s browser data. Where browser storage is unavailable, the game remains playable but scores may not survive closing the page.

How we use personal data

To reply to you and to discuss, scope and administer an engagement.

To keep records that a professional practice is expected to keep.

To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not use your data for direct marketing unless you have asked us to, and you can withdraw that at any time.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the providers that make our email, document storage and hosting work, each bound by contract to protect it, or where the law requires disclosure.

Some of those providers store data outside Hong Kong. Where that happens, we choose providers with recognised security practices and contractual protections consistent with the Ordinance.

Retention

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and, where an engagement follows, for the life of the engagement plus the period a professional practice is expected to retain its records. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.

Security

We use reputable providers, access controls and encryption in transit, and we limit access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your data.

Your rights

Under the Ordinance you may ask whether we hold personal data about you, request a copy of it, and ask us to correct it. Write to info@auglu.org. We respond within forty days and may charge a reasonable fee for supplying a copy, as the Ordinance permits.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.

Visitors from outside Hong Kong

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the data protection laws there give you similar rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. We honour requests made under those laws on the same basis.

We will update this statement when our practices change and show the date of the latest revision at the top of the page.
